How to Clean the Cold Water Tank

How to Use External Faucet (Optional)

  1. Lift the lever on the External Valve, which is connected to the sink, to be able to use the External Faucet.
    • In case the External Faucet is not used for a long period of time while the power is connected, Water from the External Valve may be warm due to the internal heat generated by the heater and compressor operations.
    • ※Scrubbing the External Valve with a brush or a dishwashing sponge may damage the plating and, also, cause minerals to become stuck on it.

How to Clean the Cold Water Tank

  1. First, close the Tap Water Supply Valve.
  2. Turn off the cold water and hot water switch.
  3. For safety, make sure to unplug the power plug.
  4. Completely drain the water from inside the Cold Water Tank through the Cold Water Faucet.
    • It will be used again to clean the tank so keep the water in a clean bowl.
    • Adjust the Flow Path Conversion Valve so that it points to "Cold Water".
    • About 3.8L of water will be discharged so make sure to prepare a tank of a sufficient size.
  5. Connect the Hot Water Drain Hose to the Hot Water Faucet and Hot Water Drain to completely empty out the Hot Water Tank.
    • Since the stand model dispenses about 2.5L and the half model dispenses about 1.4L of water, please prepare a container of sufficient size.
    • Before draining the cold water, if you drain the hot water first, the stand model will dispense about 3.5L and the half model will dispense about 2.4L. Please make sure to drain the cold water before draining the hot water. (After all the hot water has been drained, be sure to close the drain valve cap.)
  6. Detach the cover at the top of the product.
    • Please use a Phillips screwdriver.
  7. Detach the cover of the Cold Water Tank, then pull the Separator to remove it from the tank. (Before detaching the cover, disconnect the tube from the cable.)
    • When cleaning the inside of the tank, wear sanitary gloves to ensure cleanliness.
  8. Use a soft, sanitary cloth to wipe the inside of the tank.
    • Be careful not to leave any foreign substances inside the tank.
    • Mineral ingredients dissolved in water inside the tank may generate white particles. If you do not use the water purifier often, drain water through the Cold Water Faucet and Hot Water Faucet once every 2 to 3 days to prevent the formation of white particles. (It is recommended to use room water within a short amount of time.)
  9. Pour the water, which was kept in Step 4, into the tank to wash it thoroughly.
    • Completely drain the water used for washing through the Cold Water Faucet.
    • Open the cap of the Hot Water Drain Valve to completely drain the water having flown in from the Hot Water Tank, and make sure to close the cap.
  10. Reinstall the Separator onto the cold water tank.
    • Press down on the separator to secure it.
    • If the separator is loose, the compressor may take longer to operate, potentially causing noise. Make sure the separator is firmly in place.
  11. Install the cover of the cold water tank.
    • Ensure the cover is fully closed to prevent insects and foreign materials from entering.
  12. Close the top cover, fasten the screws, open the tap water supply valve, and check if water flows out through the cold water spout and hot water spout.
    • Fasten the screws using a Phillips screwdriver.
  13. Insert the power plug and press the cold water and hot water Switches.
    • Check if water flows through the hot water faucet, then press the hot water switch to turn it on.

Recommendations

Filtration Capacity

This refers to the minimum amount of water that can be effectively processed to remove pollutants without needing to clean, recycle, or replace the filter inside the water purifier.

Filter exchange cycle

The estimated period during which a filter is expected to maintain optimal performance has been carefully calculated. This is based on using tap water and a daily consumption of approximately 10 liters (suitable for a household of four people). If water usage exceeds this amount, the filter replacement cycle may be shortened.
