Merits of CUCKOO Air Purifier

The product warranty is included in the user manual.

Important Safeguards
- Read and save these instructions.
- Do not bend, tie or pull the Power Cord by force.
- Stop using the product if the Power Cord or the Power Plug is damaged or the Power Outlet is unstableon the wall. Please contact our Customer Service Center.
- When putting in or pulling out the Power Plug, first remove moisture from your hands and then put in or pull out the Power Plug by holding the Power Plug.
- Do not put the product or anything heavy on the Power Cord.
- Please unplug the product before inspection, repair or replacement of its parts.
- Do not randomly connect or process the Power Cord.
- Do not use the product outdoors where the product may get in contact with direct sunlight, rain or snow or places with moisture such as a laundry room or a bathroom.
- Do not keep or use insecticides, combustible gas, inflammables, or toxic substances near the product.
- Place the product at least 50cm away on the sides and 60cm away on the top from the wall and surrounding objects.
- Open the windows for ventilation before using gas appliances, combustibles and other inflammables.
- Do not put any obstruction around the Air Inlet or the Air Outlet of the product.
- Do not put your finger or any other foreign substances such as a stick into the Air Inlet or the Air Outlet.
- Do not sprinkle inflammables such as an insecticide or an air freshener to the Air Inlet.
- Do not stand on top of the product or put anything heavy.
- Please avoid using it near a heating device.
- This product should not be used by people including children who lack physical or mental abilities, experience and knowledge to use the product properly without instruction.
- When turning off the product, be sure to press the power button to turn product off.

This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar applications such as:
- staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working environments
- farm houses
- by clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments
- bed and breakfast type environments.
This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other).
To reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug is intended to fit in a polarized outlet only one way.
If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug.
If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to defeat this safety feature.

About Power Supply

- This may cause electric shock or fire due to a short circuit. Please check the state of the power cord frequently.

Plug the power plug into a 120V outlet with at least a rating of 10A and power surge protection. Do not plug in multiple devices into the same power outlet or extension cord simultaneously.

- If there is a foreign substance or water on the power plug, please wipe it clean before plugging it into the socket.

Details to Check before Use
Caution
When the product is not in use, please unplug the unit.
This product is exclusively for 120V, 60Hz. Put the Power Plug in the exclusive Power Outlet.
- Open the front filter cover.
- Lift the bottom left and right sides of the front filter cover to open.
- ※ To prevent dropping the filter cover, hold it with both hands while detaching it.
- Take out the filter and remove the plastic covering.
- After removing the plastic, assemble the product.
- Reattach the filter cover to the product.
- Align the magnets on the filter cover with the groove on the product and attach securely.
- ※ Ensure that no body parts or objects get caught in the product during reassembly.
- Plug in the power cord.
- This product is exclusively for use with 120V or higher, 60Hz. Please be sure to connect it to a dedicated outlet.
- Turn on the product by pressing the Power button, then press the Mode button to set it to the desired operation mode.
- ※ Before operating the product, make sure that the filter is assembled.
- Press the Power button to stop.
- If it is turned off while air cleaning, the fan will operate for about 10 seconds before stopping.
- All lamps on the display panel and air cleaning status display will turn off.
How to Install
Wall-Mounted Installation
Wall-Mounted Installation Steps
- Secure the wall mount plate with screw anchors on a wall that can support the product's weight and size, ensuring it is level.
- Attach the fixing screws to the back of the product.
- Connect the power cord to the product, then hang the product on the wall mount plate fixed to the wall.
- Check that the product is securely installed, then connect to power.

- Attach the product support to the back of the product using fixing screws.
- ※ Install with the long legs of the product support positioned in front.
- ※ The product may fall over if the stand is installed backward.
- Connect the power cord to the product.

Control Panel - Remote Control
Control Panel Button Functions
- Power (ON/OFF) button: Used to turn the product on and off.
- Wind Speed button: Used to adjust the airflow.
- Timer button: Used to set the Off Timer.
- Auto button: Used to set the Auto Mode.
- Sleep button: Used to set the Sleep Mode.
- Filter Reset button: Used to reset the accumulated filter usage time when the filter replacement alarm is on.
- As shown in the image to the right, detach the battery cover by pushing it in the direction of the arrow.
- Insert the batteries while correctly aligning the + and - orientation, then push the battery cover to close.
- Battery specifications : Use two AAA 1.5V batteries.
※ If the same batteries are used for an extended period, the signal may weaken and cause the remote control to malfunction. Please replace the batteries regularly.
※ Do not mix old and new batteries together.
※ If two or more products are installed in close proximity, the remote control operation may cause multiple products to operate simultaneously.
※ Activating the Lock Function will also deactivate the remote control.
Basic Operation/Operation Mode Guide
Basic Operation
- Insert the power plug.
- The buzzer sounds. All indicators light up in the order of red, yellow, green, and blue. The product enters Standby Mode while the Power button remains lit.
- Press the Power button.
- The buzzer sounds, and the product enters Auto Mode after 30 seconds of the sensor stabilization process.
- ※ During the stabilization process, the remaining time in seconds until sensor stabilization is displayed on the PM2.5/Timer indicator, with the Air Quality indicator alternating between blue, green, yellow, and red.
- ※ The product operates at wind speed level 1 during the stabilization process.
- Press the Control Panel and set the desired operation mode.
- The indicator for the current operating mode is bright, while the indicators for inactive modes are dim.
- Press the Power button again to stop.
- All indicators except for the Power button are turned off, and the product enters Standby Mode.
Operation Mode Guide
Auto Air Cleaning Mode for efficiently conserving energy when the air is clean
- Press the Power button in Standby Mode or the Auto button in Operation Mode.
- This mode automatically adjusts the fan operation based on the indoor fine dust concentration.
- With the remote control, select auto operation by pressing the Auto button.
※ The display screen may differ slightly from the actual display for each operation mode.
Air Cleaning during Sleep — Mode for minimal airflow and display
- Press the Sleep button in Operation Mode.
- When selected, all indicators except the Sleep button are turned off.
- With the remote control, press the Sleep button.
Manual Air Cleaning — Mode for manually selecting the desired wind speed
- Press the Wind Speed button in Operation mode.
- Press the Wind Speed button to set the desired wind speed (level 1, 2, or 3).
- With the remote control, set the wind speed by pressing the Wind Speed button (level 1, 2, or 3).
※ The display screen may differ slightly from the actual display for each operation mode.

Off Timer
- Press the Timer button during operation
- Each press of the Timer button will change the set time. Cancel timer → 1 hour → 2 hours → ··· → 24 hours → Cancel timer
- The display changes based on how much time is remaining.
Using the Lock Function
- The Lock Function is to prevent buttons from being unintentionally pressed (i.e. during cleaning)
- The Lock Function can be turned ON/OFF by holding down the LOCK button for 3 seconds.
- The control panel will not be responsive when the Lock Function is activated.
Filter Replacement Alarm
- When it is time to replace the filter, the buzzer will sound and the Filter Replacement Alarm indicator will blink. Unplug the power cord and replace the filter.
- When the Filter Replacement Alarm indicator blinks, press the Filter Replacement Alarm button for 3 seconds to reset the filter usage time.
When the product is not being used properly or encounters an error, the following message is displayed as an alarm.
If the message appears in normal conditions or does not disappear after troubleshooting, please contact the Customer Service Center.
This error message occurs when there is an issue with the filter cover. Reattach the filter cover. If the issue still persists, please contact the Customer Service.
How to Clean and Maintain
- With a soft brush, clean the fine dust sensor on the side of the product.
- ※ Failure to clean regularly may result in impaired performance of the fine dust sensor.
- ※ The cleaning cycle may vary depending on the environment. Clean more often in dusty environments.
※ Do not wipe the sensor with volatile substances such as alcohol or acetone.
Main Body Cleaning (Every 2-4 Weeks)
- Wipe the product with a soft cloth dampened with lukewarm water and thoroughly wrung out.
- Clean the dust in the grooves of the exterior with cotton swabs or winceyette fabric.
※ Do not wipe the control panel or display panel with alkaline detergents.
※ Do not wipe the surface or attach stickers using sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, or organic solvents such as thinner or kerosene. The surface may become damaged.
Air Outlet Cleaning (Every 2-4 Weeks)
- Clean the outlet with a soft brush and a vacuum cleaner.
※ The cleaning cycle may vary depending on the environment. Clean more often in dusty environments.
Pre-filter Cleaning (Every 2-4 Weeks)
- Clean the pre-filter every 2 to 4 weeks.
- Failure to clean the pre-filter regularly may lead to impaired performance of the product.
- The dust collection filter and deodorization filter cannot be regenerated by cleaning. Do not wash with water.
- The filter cleaning cycle may vary depending on the surrounding environment.
- Open the front filter cover.
- Lift the bottom left and right sides of the front filter cover.
- ※ To prevent dropping the filter cover, hold it securely with both hands.
- Use a soft dry cloth or a soft brush to clean any dust on the surface of the filter cover.
- Remove the filter from the product, then clean any dust on the surface of the pre-filter using a vacuum cleaner.
- When removing dust with a vacuum cleaner, do not use excessive force to avoid damage to the filter.
- Align the magnets on the filter cover with the groove on the product and attach securely.

- ※ Ensure that no body parts or objects get caught in the product during reassembly. Injury or product failure may occur.

Drying the filter in direct sunlight may cause deformation.

Air Cleaning Filter Replacement
- Replace the filter when the alarm sounds and the Filter Replacement button lights up.
- Be sure to unplug the power cord before replacing the filter.
- Exceeding the filter cleaning or replacement cycle may cause performance issues or odors.
- Using unauthorized filters can cause performance issues or odors. Always use genuine filters.
- Do not use the air cleaning filter if the surface is torn or wet. Replace it with a new filter. To purchase filters, contact the Customer Service Center.
- The filter replacement cycle may vary depending on the surrounding environment.
